Who We Are
Derrick Lind
Founder & CEO
Derrick is a real estate investor active in the San Antonio commercial real estate market.
He has spent more than 25 years as a successful structural engineer designing complex multi-million-dollar projects for clients in the heavy construction industry for marine facilities all over the world. He has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University and is a registered structural engineer in California and Hawaii.

His real estate journey began in 2019 with the purchase of his first out-of-state single family rental property. This property was a successful BRRRR project where the initial investment was returned through a refinance after getting renovations completed. Over the last few years, his portfolio has grown to seven properties, including small multifamily properties. He has completed successful flips of single-family properties even in challenging markets.

Michael Blank
Mentor and Educator
Michael is an entrepreneur, investor, and educator. His Deal Maker Mastermind and Certification provide structured training on multifamily syndications, including the popular Syndication Deal Analyzer (SDA) spreadsheet which is used by many syndicators. In addition to the training and resources, the Deal Maker Mastermind (DMM) is a platform that connects syndicators with potential partners, investors, vendors, and the latest in multifamily news.
Michael has been investing in residential and multifamily real estate since 2005 and began syndicating deals in 2010.

Michael's mission is to show people how they can become financially free through multifamily real estate in the next 1-3 years.

Jonathan Nichols
Mentor
Jonathan Nichols is a real estate investor local to the DFW metroplex. He began his real estate career after having worked for almost ten years in the aerospace engineering industry as a propulsion engineer.

He and his wife Paula formed their multifamily investing firm Apogee Capital in 2019. His past real estate projects include a 75-unit A class apartment complex in College Station, TX as a GP, three 100+ unit complexes in the Tulsa MSA as a GP, an 8-unit apartment to STR conversation in Arlington, TX as a GP and almost 1,000 units investing as an LP. Additionally, he has numerous residential real estate investments including a large short-term rental business.
Jonathan helps others achieve their goals through his multifamily syndication offerings and mentoring new syndicators. Mentoring consists of regular meetings with his students providing direct input on investing opportunities, systems, and resources to bring success to their pursuits.
